Job Summary

DSC (Design Security Controls, LLC) is actively searching for an experienced Security Sales professional to join our growing team.  Security Sales Consultants with DSC will position solutions for the physical security needs of clients and prospects.  Potential solutions include but are not limited to video surveillance, access control, and instruction alarm systems.   Applicants must exhibit an outstanding drive for results, be action oriented, and have a proven track record of success in commercial physical security sales.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage clients and prospects on a consultative level to effectively identify and understand needs, objectives, and desired outcomes
  • Collaborate with DSC team and vendors to formulate solutions and provide clients/prospects with a comprehensive range of strategic options for prospective solutions
  • Thoughtfully position appropriate solutions utilizing DSC products and services
  • Contribute to the success of DSC by owning and consistently achieving assigned quota targets
  • Develop professionally by engaging in ongoing relationships with DSC vendors and by participating in opportunities for professional development
  • Consistently leverage DSC CRM tools to manage client accounts, recording all notes, correspondence, and documents with comprehensive accuracy

Experience and Qualifications Profile

  • Experience with sales in the commercial physical security space, including, but not limited to modern video surveillance, access control, and intrusion alarm systems
  • Established experience and success in consultative solution-based sales
  • Experience in client acquisition and account management
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
  • Experience, credentials, and references must be verifiable

  • Experience and established relationships with public and private educational institutions in the greater Houston area

Job Description

DSC is active searching for career minded security and life safety technicians with all levels of experience, for entry level through lead technician positions. Experience in the installation and service of CCTV, access control, intrusion alarm, fire alarm, fire sprinkler and/or professional AV systems is highly valued.

Role Description

  • Installation, configuration/programming, maintenance, and repair of security, fire alarm and/or fire sprinkler systems
  • Installation and testing of low-voltage electrical components and equipment
  • Sequential and strategic execution of project plans driven by an understanding of building plans, specifications, blueprints, and electrical layouts
  • Installation of organized and attractive control panels, networkable rack mounted equipment, contacts, sensors, and devices
  • Installation and maintenance of structured cabling/wiring and related components, including wire termination, conduit installation, cable management, and raceway installation
  • Strategic troubleshooting of low-voltage electrical devices, device signals, system programming, back-up power/batteries and network connectivity
  • Operation of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
  • Proper care and maintenance of DSC assigned equipment, tools, and materials
